The Boston Club

Ok, back to school was the last post and the DAILY Gus falls apart. Gus's siblings started High School this year and Gus has not been able to blog on a daily basis. Enough whining, here is where we left off. Gus had an introductory school meeting with Rob and Erin, the owners of Sit Means Sit dog training. It went well. Gus did not spend a lot of time training but Erin spent some one on one time with him. Afterward she mentioned that he is a good dog but perhaps a little on the stubborn side[hence, going to school ;-) ]. Now to switch gears. The Boston Club...we had no idea that when we decided to adopt Gus we would be entering a realm that would so greatly effect our lives. Suddenly, every day events such as taking walks, going out for potty breaks and play times almost always involve a goo-goo ga-ga session with a fellow Boston Terrier owner. You know you have entered the club when you are driving down the street and you and your wife get excited and eek "Boston!" at the site of one of these cute little critters (much to the embarrassment of your 14 year old daughter). To those of you who are in the club, I know you understand. To those of you who are not in the club, let me put it this way...Your friends start sending you photos like this one on a regular basis, and it is considered not only normal, but endearing. Cheers!

Back to School

We all remember how sleepy you are on your first day back to school. Gus is no exception. This is the look I got as I woke him from the "sacred sunny spot" [S3] to take him out before his two new trainers arrived.
That look says one thing "five more minutes?!"

Helen Keller's Boston Terrier was named Phiz. It was given to her by a classmate at Radcliff.

A Wish for Sweater Weather

Gus is ready to snuggle up on the couch with a blanket, a fire in the fireplace and a good book. Gus has a two word wish.....Sweater Weather.

Gus's friend Zucco

This is Gus' friend Zucco. When Gus was 9 months old and Zucco was 9 weeks old they were exactly the same size. Now at 10 months and 13 weeks, Zucco is double Gus's size. They still wrestle and play. So adorable!

Note: Zucco is learning ride a skateboard. Gus is not.

Laps

There should always be a lap available. Always. If one cannot locate a human lap, one must settle for the next best thing.

Gus Likes [licks] Cake

Gus went to a birthday party thrown by the nice folks at Pawyard. Gus and "the Queen of the Dog Park" were very much enjoying the doggie birthday cake. We will be working on our party manners. Just because Gus has a short snout and snorts, does not mean he may behave like a pig. He ran and played with the other dogs at Camp Run a Mutt. So much fun. More pictures here!

Yappy Hour at Wine Steals

This is Bella, she will leave her treat until someone says "okay" it can be someone at a different table in an unrelated conversation we learned. Training tip: use uncommon or foreign words for tricks.


Karin and Doreen had the great taste to wear "gus" colored clothing. Bravo, Ladies you look Magnificent!


This is Dakota. We learned that she was super shy when she was first adopted. With the loving care of her forever mom she is much better. We think she is really nice and has very pretty eyes.

Wine Steals will be opening in Cardiff this month. We hope they have a Sunday for the dogs.
